Requirements:
  • Technical education
  • Experience in servicing main propulsion marine engines and auxiliary engines
  • Ability to independently carry out service tasks – troubleshooting technical issues related to operation, repair, inspection and adjustment of low-speed 2-stroke and medium- and high-speed 4-stroke marine engines
  • Professional experience as a marine mechanic or fitter, shipyard engine department employee, or employee of a marine engine manufacturing company (e.g. HCP Cegielski, ZGODA Świętochłowice)
  • Availability and willingness to travel frequently
  • Creativity and sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work effectively in an international team
  • Communicative level of English

Requirements

  • Higher or secondary education in marine electrical engineering or automation
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues related to marine automation systems
  • Knowledge of the following systems:
    • Main engine automation (e.g. Norcontrol)
    • Auxiliary engine automation
    • Monitoring systems for safety protections and alarms (e.g. Stein Sohn, Siemens, Cerberus)
    • Navigation systems and equipment (e.g. radars, logs)
    • Automation and control of deck equipment (e.g. ballast and heeling systems)
  • Knowledge of deck equipment such as cranes and mooring/anchor winches, both electric and electro-hydraulic
  • Availability and willingness to travel frequently
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Creativity and sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work effectively in an international team
  • English proficiency sufficient to read technical documentation
  • Experience working on board vessels or within the shipbuilding industry
